I’m sorry for the late rant! Please accept this crude Bioshock sketch as an apology. I drew it while in bed last night, and was kinda inspired by the Bioshock 2 videos I was watching. Seriously, check them out, so awesome. As for the picture… it was supposed to be a big daddy… kinda looks more like a Christmas ornament. Alright for a first try I guess.
Agh, this week has been MADNESS I say! Bedsides me being really busy trying to get my portfolio up, Morgan informed me today yet another game studio closed its doors here in Vancouver. Deamon Ware is the latest in a long list of studio closures within the past year, it’s been pretty discouraging to see so many companies shutting down while trying to find work in the industry.
Oh yes, so I’m still playing Bioshock and now I want some cake. It would be the best Plasmid EVAH! Not much to report this week in the way of news, though I was thinking about making a comic suggestion/topic thread on the forum for those who would like to contribute ideas for the comic. I’ve already gotten some feedback from a couple people, so it will be there if anyone else is keen.
This past week Ryan (Doctor_Cactus) brought over Conker’s Bad Fur Day which we played on my good ol 64. I must have been living in a hole (though more likely obsessed with Smash Bro. at the time) to not know about this game. I never knew mature games were even made for the 64, it blew my mind…
Eve decided to pick up the first Xenosaga this week (more old school) and there are only two things I have to say about that game so far. One: vacant and creepy 3D anime eyes *shiver* and two: is this a game or one giant cut scene? I must have watched Eve ‘play’ it for almost an hour, but forty five minutes of it was spent watching. I know RPG’s have lots to say usually, but I’ve never seen it like that before. Made me laugh a bit.
Now I’m just rambling, see ya in teh forums. *waves*
