I run a Pathfinder d20 campaign called "Skylords".  It's a high-fantasy RPG set in a homebrew world of floating continents over a giant ocean.  We've been playing for about 8 months so far and the party's around level 3 -- we went from playing every 2 weeks to every week just last month, so things are starting to pick up now.

I have a website for the campaign, but it's still under construction.  www.skylordsd20.com

Old school DnD is not as fun as 4th ed. Unless you love being limited by everything and only being able to cast 1 spell a day.

Back in the day when we played we added our own monsters lore and items one of our favorites was whimsy wine which when drank gave a random effect. I designed a monster called the "Goforit" which was a psychic parasite that ate your fear. When you died (which always happened if it was not removed) it gained enough energy to lay eggs in your corpse. Perhaps your characters are infected by this parasite :)

I started playing some Games a few years ago - not too many sessions with everone working and stuff like that.
But we're on our 3rd game.  And the rest of the players are real irritated with me.  No matter what character I have or what the storyline is, I always go and do what I'm not supposed to and end up dying.

All my Characters are totally aggressive, I don't know why I can't change.

First game I joined half way through was CoC, then Warhammer, now we busy with some futuristic warhammer rpg - not 40k.

My current character is a Psyker called Magnus - with white hair, pale skin and purple eyes.  Gotta love the randomness.

However they are all percentile based and I would like to play and old fashioned D20 D&D game.

FREAKISHLY COMPLEX is right, and that's if you're not playing a mage. If you are...RIP my friend.

Funny.
I've never played under 4e...
And almost all the guys from the Giant in the Playground forums hate it and prefer the 3.5

I never understood that, but have heard it a lot. I've only played 3.5 and 4e, and I have to say 4e rocks like a Naval soldier on shore leave. NO SPELLS-PER-DAY FTW!

Are we talking about that awesomesane SNES game Shadowrun, where Jake Armitage wakes up "dead" in a morgue in Seattle?

No, but that and the Genesis game based off of it are pretty damn good actually, no this is the freakishly complex tabletop version being talked about.

Yeah, it's a little rough. The character creation is insanely complicated, and really math-y. Doing your spell mods vs. your cybernetic implants vs everything else is nuts. Plus there are like 4 different skill sets.

I wasn't sure they existed since Borders never carries them o_o
Though they have a load of D&D books and paraphernalia...thanks!

Argh...found a 354 page 4.0 for Shadowrun.
Holy ass, its more complicated than AD&D
