Hey everyone, I’m not dead yet. I was aiming to have this up on Sunday, sorry about that. Thanks for waiting! I also spent time working on some 3d for this page only to have it mostly covered in the end. Ah well. This is just a random alternate story I planned out when sketching last week and now have a mini arch prepared. I’m hoping everyone will still enjoy it.

This is just the title/splash page, so it’s not that funny, and mostly an intro to the characters. Right now I’m using alternate versions of Jynx and Captain Morgan, with more fun characters twists in the coming weeks. I felt this would be a fun change of pace for a bit since things are busy for me right now. It’s all in good fun, and who doesn’t like pirates and ninjas?!

Oh, and for this week’s poll I’m trying to gather info on which pins I should make to sell at conventions/online this year. So if you like GDPG and pins please vote. Thanks!

Thanks for waiting on this comic, I know the updates have been a bit sporadic but I think thats just how it gonna be until I find a regular work routine. I’m still struggling with my busted ass computer, I eagerly await the day when it will be replaced with a new capable machine. Mmmm. I also try not to leave food in my computer… -_- but I haven’t been very nice to it over the years. It’s way overworked, and will explode one day. heh.

In other news, I’m now 100% confirmed to have a table at Anime Evolution this year. I was on the wait list for months, so I’m quite happy they were able to add more tables. Since I still have to prepare the prints and other goodies to sell, I’m not sure all my cosplay dreams will be realized this year. But I’ll still give it a shot *fist in air* Metalshit will also be at the table, so stop by and say hi. Holy crap people, seriously last two weeks from hell! I feel pretty bad about not posting last week, I believe it’s the first time I’ve ever missed a comic. But basically working overtime plus very little sleep combined with my computer trying to melt and burn down my apartment left me… preoccupied.

Soooooo, this Wii Fit nonsense is the best I got for this week. Sorry. Surprisingly I’ve never tried Wii Fit before, but got my chance last week while visiting with Ji and Metalshit. We played on a Chinese board with MShit translating. Overall the experience was fine, I’m the only one who actually tried ‘exercising’ and did a pretty decent job. The talking board wasn’t nearly as cruel as I’ve made it out to be either. Though I’ve come to the conclusion that because of the nature of the games mechanics, everyone looks dumb playing it. Everyone. This makes watching other people play the most enjoyable aspect at times. We spent a lot of time cheering and berating each other.

On a side note… I’m not sure if anyone else does this, but as of late when I’m stressed or imagining things exploding from my apartment window, I sometimes medicate myself by looking at cute animals or lolcats. It helps take the edge off! >_> Eve informs me that it has everything to do with my gender, and not about being insane… but I’m not sure. Recently it’s been all about the bunnies, just look at this stupid thing! So cute!

What are you doing bunny!? You don’t belong on a trampoline! Derp.

This week’s comic was written by Ryan. Him and Captain Morgan have been avidly waiting for Red Dead Redemption, and it’s finally been released. There’s not much to the comic plot wise, but I did have fun drawing it. Normally I sketch and ink the comics digitally, but this week I dusted off my ink and quills and drew it the old fashion way. I think I’ll do this more often since my drawing always seem more stiff when done 100% on the computer. I’m also a bit out of practice. >_> Here’s the line art for anyone who’s interested.

Other than that, I added the donation page to the top menu bar and am slowly making progress on the other pages (bio, faq, links and maybe commissions). I am SO slow.

This week we also started our Evangelion cosplay. The plug suits are going to be very tight, yet another costume I wont be able to breath in. The Predator skin looked pretty good, so I’m hoping it will be ok. Perhaps those push-ups will come in handy. I’m also looking forward to the challenge of making the Eva mechs. I might have some pictures for next week.

A short and perhaps not so sweet comic this week. I know I’m scrapping the bottom of the barrel here, my apologies. It ended up being a bit of a challenge to draw this week because of my wobble arms… ugh, exercise hurts (I am weak like a little girl). Though I did ignore the pain long enough to play some rounds of the StarCraft II beta (Thanks Ian!).

I really doubt I could ever convince Captain Morgan to raid for me IRL. If you’ve read the previous comics, you’ll know that she has made her feelings towards WoW quite apparent. Geez, Jynx sure is ungrateful.

This week’s comic is the strange result of thinking about Smash Bros. and looking at the giant Samus cut-out on my wall. I also wanted to draw something violent (poor motivation, I know). Oh, and lets just pretend that they don’t know about Zero Suit yet. Right. I don’t know why Link was written to be such a dick, but it works for the comic I guess. Ironically he also tends to look like a girl at the best of times. Though I feel it could have been funnier if I adjusted the format a bit, ah well. There is something very satisfying about drawing characters getting punched… I’m not sure what it is. Also, Samus is awesome.

I have two things to quickly discuss. One, being that as of late (only twice though) it has been more difficult to make my Wednesday set deadline, as always real life gets in the way. And I only see this getting worse as I look for work. So I’m proposing to shift the weekly update period to between Tuesday and Thursday and post it whenever it’s finished. I feel this would allow me to not rush a comic as much and/or post crap like I have been prone to in the past.

Now this leads me to my second issue, posting crap. Over the last year I have been struggling to improve the writing of the comic, which was one of the main reasons for this project in the first place. And I feel that after the New Year, rather than putting in more effort and time like I had promised myself, I rushed it even more. I know lots of people still enjoy the comic even now (thank you), but my long-term goal is to make the scripting more concise, clever and maybe change the focus a bit. This is going to take a lot more effort on my part since I’m not a writer, and I have lots to learn still. So please be patient with me,  it can only get better though… right? >_> I probably shouldn’t have said that.

In other site news, I’m updating a new media page that will display teasers for the donation incentives. The purpose for this is so that people can choose whichever they would prefer to receive after donating. To me it seems only fair to give new readers the same selection. That being said, I probably wont have a new incentive each month but I will try and update them frequently. I also want to say thank you again to everyone who has generously donated so far, even that little bit has help.

Now, onto important news… YESSSSS, a release date! Eve finally has the beta now, and I’m pretty excited to try it even though I’m terrible. Kekeke!

I’ve been working more of the bio section, but since I’m a giant liar when it come to these things, I will promise nothing. If by a miracle something does get finish, I shall update it here.

Agh… gurgle. FML, that took a while. But see, it was worth the wait! Another dumb cosplay comic! …er, sorry? Honestly, it was mainly an excuse to draw a super hero style page and I kinda got a bit carried away with the first three shots. But I think they turned out quite nice, so I’m making a nice big high-res version of them (top three) for this next months donation wallpaper. I still gotta make the composition, but I will have it ready by next week.

Eve was a good sport for not only remaining in amphibian state, but also letting me draw him as Red Mist, pretty much the lamest character in the movie. Though I hear he’s an ass in the comic. Captain Morgan tells me good things, so I’m going to go pick it up this week. Originally I thought the movie looked lame and was uninterested, but we went to go see it with Morgan anyway and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved it. But I’m a consumer whore when it comes to most comic movie adaptations, so see it for yourself and judge. Oh, and it starts off light-ish and funny… but it is rated 18A for a reason. Nothing insanely shocking, but enough blood, cursing and a deadly eleven year old to warrant the rating I guess.

Yeah, late comic is late. I am sorry, I SWEAR IT!

Right now Metalshit, Ji, Han and I are all working at the same studio, so I thought I would do a little comic about that this week. Though They are all really hard workers (I’m too weak!), but I think it’s cute how they also like to play restaurant games on Facebook. <3 I’m too scared to start playing myself, it looks like too much of a commitment to manage… heh.

Anyway, back to work now.

Apparently I had nothing else important to say after I posted this last week… typical of me. I did remove the hideous skyscraper ad space to the right of the rant though, I couldn’t stand it anymore!  Poorly photoshoped ads aside, it was a big eyesore. So if anyone wants to still advertise on GDPG (thank you) I’ve added some new ad spots under the rant. See ya tomorrow!

So I decided to make a sappy-ish comic today since I rarely show the softer side of Jynx and Eve’s relationship. It can sometimes be hard to believe, but they do have one. Our anniversary was last week, though like the comic it was not fancy. I think it’s more fun this way. But what wasn’t fun, was that I experience heartburn for the first time after eating super spicy Korean seafood. Delicious, but deadly. >_<

For the record, there was no sighing/blushing or sparkles from Eve when discussing our plans (his eyes in the last panel kinda scare me…). But I’m sure he still appreciates having a geeky lady who wanted nothing more than to watch Sam Worthington rip apart monsters for an hour and a half. I know many people are hating on the movie, but I actually enjoyed it. This also could be because I have a hardon for Greek mythology and went into the movie knowing it was going to be a bad ‘film’. But I was still entertained and enjoyed the stylized 3D and puppet work. I also thought Ralph Fiennes made a great Hades.

I have never wanted to play God of War III more than after watching this movie though. I haven’t had much time to play it recently, but I am making progress. It’s great to play when I’m feeling frustrated or stressed.

I feel like I haven’t written much in weeks and now I have all these dumb things I want to write about. This week is about Nobelgarden (WoW). I really did kick ass at finding those eggs, though Eve had much better luck than me at finding the items. He’s also lucky he can’t be a salamander ingame, I did contemplate it though. heh  Also, whenever I have to draw armor in a comic I end up polishing the comic too much and then it takes forever, sorry for the wait.

This week I also got a belated birthday gift in the form of three cute WoW plushies. I am such a sucker for toys. >_< I’ll post some pictures tomorrow hopefully and update the poll etc. (I’ll add this these things to next week’s update)

I just need to sleep right now. *yawn* g’night.
