So by saying I was going to update the rant on Thursday, I meant Friday. And by mentioning two new wallpapers, I meant one… just for now. I posted a Jynx Black mage desktop in the new Media section that has replaced the ‘downloads’ link. Another Halloween wallpaper will be posted soon featuring The Captain dressed as Link. ^^

This week I was also fortunate enough to be chosen as the winner of this months World of Warcraft comic contest. I submitted a family friendly version of the comic ‘Mmrrrgggllll’, and it was chosen. Huzzah!

*A wild Rant appears*

Alright, so this week’s comic is poking fun at the Twilight epidemic that has been prominent for the last couple years. It also doesn’t help that at any given time the movies are being filmed at 5-20 mile radius of my home. I’m sure few people actually care, but here is my review/criticism. These books are kinda written poorly and grossly idealized (yes, I read them all). But they are intended for a teenage audience, so I was not particularly surprised by the simple language and strange Mary Sue undertones. That said, they were also very addictive and I was compelled to finish them, though felt cheated by its ending. > _> Let’s just say, it’s overly optimistic.

But that’s all okay and to be expected. What really distresses me is when people compliment and rave about the writing style and plot development… really? Did we read the same books? Seriously people! These are not works of literary genius here. Hell, I even enjoyed parts of them, but can still tell the difference  (And as you know, I’m not a great writer and have atrocious grammar).

*Rant fainted*

With that said; the first person I see wearing fangs and covered in glitter this Halloween is going to get candy thrown at their head. Seriously, unless you’re the actor’s doppelganger, this is not a suitable Halloween costume. Just saying. ^_____^

There are also two South Park (I love it) references in there if you can find them. And if you haven’t watched South Park’s take on Twilight from season 12 (The Ungroundable), I recommend watching it. So funny, gotta love those goth kids.

Last but not least this song has been stuck in my head all week. I have yet to pick up Borderlands *sad face* but quite enjoyed the trailer that featured this song during PAX. I’m almost done packing and moving, so things should hopefully get more stable after the next update.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
