Oh my, look at the time

When I look at the chaos that is this strange gem of a comic, I can slowly feel my brain ooze out of my ears. This is a similar feeling that one usually experiences when going to an anime convention. =3 Don’t get me wrong, I love it, but also love to hate it. I’ve been going to these things for many years now, though my hatred for those orange jumpsuit clad Naruto cosplayers never seems to diminish. Not. Real. Ninjas.

That aside, we had lots of fun visiting with friends and being camera wholes in our sweet costumes *phew* I finished Sasha. The first day was dedicated to TF2, and we hung out with a bunch of other RED team members. Though by the end of the day my voice was starting to feel the strain of ‘attempting’ to talk in a Brooklyn accent and yelling BONK a lot. Ryan is a natural at being Heavy and caused quite the commotion every time he would bellow in a fake Russian accent. Simon was our Medic and did a great job of being the disturbed German doctor. We will defiantly be wearing these costumes again to PAX09 in September, but with more people and costume additions. I felt very small next to all the other Scout’s at the convention, so I will be switching it up next round as a female Scout ^_-.

The following day was… interesting. My friends and I dressed as Sailor Moon characters (go ahead and laugh, I’m not ashamed) and Ryan went in the Pyramid Head costume I made him last Halloween. Both costumes were a hit and many hijinx were had when the two groups came together. The comic this week is based on a couple of odd happenings, one being where our photographer (wearing a Pedobear shirt and ears >_>) took photos of Ryan offering me candy… lets just say the conversations trailed to 4chan and other terrible jokes were made. On each day we were fortunate enough to see two different Italian Spiderman’s (check out the WTF on the forum, or youtube to witness his glory). Ryan enjoyed pretending to fight him.

The last day was casual, and we wore simple yukatas (summer kimonos) and laid around in air conditioned rooms. We were pretty tiered by this point and Ryan stayed home that day. Whenever we go to conventions it is impossible to leave empty handed, and this year was no exception, though we didn’t buy much. I got a really nice figure of Morrigan (alternate colours) from Darkstalkers and Eve picked up a Yoko figure and a Firefly Serenity patch. Though my prize possession from this year was Peep peep; a generic small bird plush. I looked all around for one and finally found him on the last day *happy*.

On another note, Ryan wont stop talking about Fat Princess. It’s a creative idea and seems to have some humorous gameplay, but this game is just asking for controversy by force feeding cake to women in order for them to become too overweight to move. >_< Really?
