Meet the Spy
TF2 got another update this past week *cheers*, though it appears that the Sniper Update was A SPY! Sneaky Valve, though the rumor is that both classes will be getting an update. The Meet the Spy video was also released/leaked, it’s much longer than the previous ones and has a different style, but still awesome. I encourage everyone to watch it, especially if this weeks comic eludes you. The idea for the comic this week came from a friend, who also found Valve’s risqué little plot twist amusing. If you pause it at the right spots, there are so me pretty suggestive shots. Haha. We also assumed that Scout might take after his mother a bit… but i’m sure Spy would forgive the abuse.
If you frequent the forum at all, you might know that I have been a shameful cosplayer (see where Jynx gets it from) for about ten years now. I know its not everyone’s thing… in fact you need to be pretty crazy to spend hundreds of dollars and hours laboring over costumes just so you can run around in them role playing like a fool… but I’ve come to terms with my disability long ago, and I am no longer ashamed. >_< I actually find it to be a very creative hobby, and have gotten quite adapt at it.
For about a year now, Ryan and I have been planing a TF2 cosplay group (not very original, I know). But I thought I would share the info and progress of this project anyway, for anyone who may be interested. Our group will be wearing them to a convention next month as a test run, and the finished costumes to PAX in September. And for those who’s eyes have been previously scared by such sights, rest assured that I am not the average construction paper cosplayer… I feel that if your gonna put yourself out there doing something ridiculous, you might as well do it right, and look kick ass in the process. Below is an example of a costume I made last year; Femme Predator (I’m such a whore about this one), a bit of progress on my Scout Headset, and a silly little sketch for sitting through my banter so far!

We also picked up Killzone 2 and Socom (mainly for the headset) this week, but I doubt I’ll have the time to play them for a while. /sigh
